Fletcher Construction wāhine finalists in NAWIC Excellence Awards 2023
We are thrilled to have seven finalists in this year’s NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) Excellence Awards.
The NAWIC judges were very complimentary of all of this year’s entrants, saying “the sheer number of talented wāhine across the sector made for a challenging judging day”.
Our finalists are Fatima Atonio (Rising Star - Site Based), Lucy Clark (Tradeswoman of the Year), Tanya Claxton (Tradeswoman of the Year), Kate Perrott (Achievement in Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environment), Bayley Smith (Rising Star - Site Based), Gloria Jeong (Student Excellence) and Nicky Leman (Outstanding Leader of the Year - Site Based).
General Manager of People and Performance Rachael Regan-Paterson says in the past few years Fletcher Construction has put a lot of focus on the best way to support women. “We have Women in Construction Governance Committees in all of our business units, and this year we’re holding our second Women to Leadership programme. Our wāhine are achieving amazing things, and I’m so proud to be supporting their work wherever we can. I’m looking forward to attending the awards in July. Good luck to all of the finalists!”
